Code of Conduct

Effective: May 10, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 10, 2026

SavedHub is a place for focused, productive work — saving knowledge, curating ideas, and collaborating with your team. This Code of Conduct defines the standards of behaviour we expect from every person who uses the Service, so that SavedHub remains a safe, inclusive, and trustworthy environment for everyone.

1. Purpose & Scope

This Code of Conduct (“Code”) governs all user interactions with and through the SavedHub platform at savedhub.io, including:

  • Content saved, shared, or published within the Service (URLs, notes, tags, workspace names).
  • Interactions with other users in shared workspaces.
  • Communications with the SavedHub team (support, feedback, appeals).
  • Use of any SavedHub API, extension, or integration.

This Code applies globally. Users in all jurisdictions are expected to comply, and local legal obligations are a floor — not a ceiling — for acceptable conduct.

2. Our Commitment

SavedHub is committed to providing a platform that is:

🔒

Safe

Free from harassment, threats, and harmful content, so every user can work without fear.

🌍

Inclusive

Welcoming to people of all backgrounds, identities, skill levels, and perspectives.

🤝

Trustworthy

Built on honest, transparent interactions — between users, and between users and us.

We apply this Code to ourselves as well. SavedHub team members are held to the same — and in many cases higher — standards of conduct described here.

3. Who This Applies To

This Code applies to:

  • All registered users of SavedHub, regardless of plan tier.
  • Workspace administrators and their invited members.
  • Anyone accessing the Service via the API or third-party integrations.
  • SavedHub employees, contractors, and representatives when acting in their SavedHub capacity.

Workspace administrators take on additional responsibility for the conduct that occurs within their workspaces. By inviting members, you accept responsibility for ensuring that your workspace operates within these standards.

4. Expected Behaviour

We ask all users to:

  • Be respectful. Treat all users — including workspace collaborators and support staff — with courtesy and respect, even in disagreement.
  • Be honest. Provide accurate information when registering, reporting violations, or communicating with us. Do not misrepresent yourself or your organisation.
  • Be responsible. Take ownership of the content you save and share. Think before adding links to shared workspaces, especially content that could be sensitive or harmful.
  • Respect intellectual property. Only save and share content you have the right to access and curate. Respect copyright, trademarks, and licensing restrictions.
  • Protect others’ privacy. Do not save, share, or expose personally identifiable information about other individuals without their consent.
  • Use the Service for its intended purpose. SavedHub is a productivity tool for organising and discovering knowledge. Use it in a way that aligns with that purpose.
  • Report problems. If you see content or behaviour that violates this Code, please report it. Doing nothing perpetuates harm.

5. Prohibited Behaviour

The following are strictly prohibited on SavedHub:

5.1 Harassment & Abuse

  • Sending unwanted, offensive, or threatening messages to other users.
  • Targeting individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, nationality, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Doxxing — publishing private information about another person without consent.
  • Sustained negative behaviour designed to intimidate, belittle, or drive away a user.

5.2 Harmful Content

  • Saving or sharing URLs that contain malware, ransomware, spyware, phishing pages, or other malicious software.
  • Content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — this will be immediately reported to law enforcement.
  • Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
  • Illegal content of any kind, including pirated software, counterfeit goods, or controlled-substance sales.

5.3 Deception & Fraud

  • Impersonating any person, organisation, or brand.
  • Deliberately spreading misinformation or disinformation.
  • Creating fake accounts or using multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.
  • Manipulating AI-generated outputs to deceive other users.

5.4 Platform Abuse

  • Automated scraping, bulk importing, or API abuse that degrades the Service for other users.
  • Attempting to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or extracting proprietary algorithms or data.
  • Using the Service to launch attacks against third-party systems.
  • Selling, renting, or otherwise commercialising access to your SavedHub account or workspaces.

5.5 Privacy Violations

  • Collecting or harvesting other users’ personal data from the Service.
  • Sharing another user’s private workspace content outside that workspace without permission.
  • Using information from the Service to facilitate surveillance or stalking.

6. Content Standards

All content saved to, or shared through, SavedHub — including URLs, titles, notes, tags, and workspace names — must comply with the following standards:

StandardRequirement
LegalityAll content must be legal in the user's jurisdiction and in India (our governing law).
Accuracy of metadataDo not intentionally mislabel a URL's title or category to mislead workspace members.
No hate speechContent must not promote hatred against protected groups.
No adult content in shared workspacesAdult or NSFW content may only be saved in private personal workspaces, never in shared workspaces.
No spamDo not bulk-save low-quality, duplicate, or irrelevant links to inflate workspace counts.
Respect licensingPaywalled or subscription-only content should not be shared in ways that circumvent access controls.

7. Workspace & Collaboration Standards

Workspaces are shared environments. The following additional standards apply to collaborative workspaces:

  • Admins set the tone. Workspace admins are responsible for their workspace culture. If an admin permits or ignores prohibited behaviour by members, they share responsibility for that behaviour.
  • Invited members consent to workspace norms. Admins may set their own workspace rules, provided they do not conflict with this Code or our Terms of Service.
  • Member removal.Admins may remove members for any reason. Removed members must not attempt to re-join a workspace they have been removed from without the admin’s consent.
  • No credential sharing. Do not share your SavedHub login credentials with workspace members. Use the invitation system to grant access. Account sharing violates our Terms of Service.
  • Sensitive or confidential information. Users are responsible for assessing whether content they save in a shared workspace is appropriate to share with all members of that workspace. SavedHub is not responsible for inadvertent disclosure of confidential data within workspaces.

8. Responsible AI Usage

SavedHub’s AI features (automatic summaries, tagging, and categorisation) are designed to aid productivity. You agree to use these features responsibly:

  • Do not attempt to manipulate the AI.Do not craft URLs, titles, or page content specifically to cause the AI to generate harmful, misleading, or offensive outputs (“prompt injection”).
  • Do not misrepresent AI outputs. Do not present AI-generated summaries as official statements, verified facts, or expert opinions.
  • Correct errors. If you notice an AI-generated tag or summary is factually incorrect or harmful, please correct it and report it to us if it reveals a systematic issue.
  • No automated mass processing.Do not use the Service’s AI features to bulk-process URLs for commercial data extraction without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy & Data Respect

All users must respect the privacy of others on the platform:

  • Do not save URLs containing personally identifiable information (PII) about third parties without a legitimate purpose and, where required, their consent.
  • Do not use the display names, usernames, or any other user data visible in shared workspaces to contact users outside of SavedHub without their consent.
  • Do not attempt to identify anonymous or pseudonymous users.
  • Report any accidental exposure of PII within a workspace to the workspace admin and to privacy@savedhub.io.

10. Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code, we encourage you to report it. All reports are taken seriously and handled confidentially.

How to report

  1. Email conduct@savedhub.io with the subject line “Code of Conduct Report”.
  2. Include: your username, the username or workspace of the person you are reporting, a description of the incident, and any supporting evidence (screenshots, URLs).
  3. We will acknowledge your report within 48 hours and keep you updated on our review.

Confidentiality

We will not disclose the identity of reporters without their explicit consent, except where required by law. Reports made in good faith will never be used against the reporter, even if the investigation does not result in enforcement action.

False reports

Deliberately filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of this Code and may result in enforcement action against the reporting user.

11. Enforcement & Consequences

SavedHub will review all reports and take action proportionate to the nature and severity of the violation. Our standard enforcement ladder is:

Level 1Informal Warning

A private, written notice explaining the violation and the expected change in behaviour. No public record. Used for minor or first-time breaches.

Examples: Mildly inappropriate language · Accidental spam (e.g., bulk-saving broken links) · Minor workspace etiquette lapse

Level 2Formal Warning

A formal written notice with specific conditions for continued use. May include temporary restrictions on workspace creation or invitations.

Examples: Repeated minor violations after informal warning · Harassment that stops short of severe · Posting clearly misleading content

Level 3Temporary Suspension

Account access is suspended for a defined period (24 hours to 30 days depending on severity). Content may be removed. Paid plan access is paused but not cancelled.

Examples: Sustained harassment of another user · Deliberate sharing of malware or phishing links · Wilful violation after formal warning

Level 4Permanent Ban

Account permanently terminated. All data removed subject to legal retention obligations. No refund of unused subscription. May be reported to law enforcement.

Examples: CSAM or child-safety violations · Large-scale malware distribution · Credible threats of violence · Repeat severe violations

We reserve the right to skip levels for severe violations. The ladder above is a guide, not a guarantee. Decisions are made case-by-case at our sole discretion.

12. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action taken against your account was made in error, you may submit an appeal within 14 days of receiving notice of the action.

How to appeal

  1. Email conduct@savedhub.io with the subject line “Enforcement Appeal”.
  2. Include your username, the enforcement action taken, and your grounds for appeal.
  3. Appeals are reviewed by a member of our team who was not involved in the original decision.
  4. We will respond within 10 business days.

Appeal decisions are final. Repeated appeals without new grounds will not be reviewed.

Submitting an appeal does not automatically restore access. If your appeal is successful, access will be restored promptly.

13. Changes to This Code

We may update this Code as the platform evolves. When we make significant changes, we will notify users via email or an in-app notice, and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Code.

We welcome community feedback on this Code. If you have suggestions for how to improve our standards, please write to conduct@savedhub.io.
